Health Horizons Nursing Home Project

In July 2025, Health Horizons launched its Nursing Home Project after being inspired by the CNA course we completed over the summer. Through this experience, we developed a deeper understanding of the importance of nursing homes and the essential care they provide for the elderly. It also led us to reflect on the conditions of elders living in underprivileged nursing homes and whether they had access to adequate as well necessary healthcare resources and everyday essentials.

Motivated by these concerns, we organized a GoFundMe campaign along with an in-person food fundraiser. With the support of our community, we raised over $2,000 to support underprivileged nursing homes in India. Through these efforts, we were able to donate important supplies such as pillows, thermometers, gloves, and other essential care items to help improve the well-being and comfort of elderly residents.

As our name suggests, Health Horizons reflects our organizations goal and commitment towards continuously expanding opportunities, outreach, and support within healthcare. At Health Horizons, we believe that community impact is not limited to our immediate surroundings, can extend beyond horizons globally.
